Dr. Talat Uppal is an experienced Gynecologist and Director of Women’s Health Road, where she pioneered an integrated, multidisciplinary care model. Her niche area of expertise lies in the management of abnormal menstrual bleeding (AUB), and she is the founder of Australia’s first AUB Management Hub—a hybrid, digitally enhanced model of care that addresses the needs of women with heavy menstrual bleeding (HMB) and iron deficiency/anaemia.
Currently a Clinical Associate Professor and consultant at Macquarie University & Hornsby Hospital, Dr. Uppal previously served as Clinical Director at Manly and Mona Vale Hospitals. Her contributions to GP clinical education earned her the RANZCOG Conspicuous Service Medal in 2018.
A leader in digital health, she is an ambassador for Heidi and represents RANZCOG on SPARKED.au. Through her “Bleed Better” initiative, she also established International Heavy Menstrual Bleeding Day to raise vital awareness for women’s health.
