Dr Vindya Wijesinghe is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Latrobe Regional Hospital, Victoria, Australia, and an Adjunct Lecturer (Level B) at Monash University. She holds an MBBS from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, an MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the University of Colombo, Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG), Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG), and a Master of Health Professions Education from Monash University.
Dr Wijesinghe has a strong interest in women’s health, medical education, patient safety, quality improvement, and clinical governance. Her work focuses on advancing evidence-based obstetric and gynaecological care, improving healthcare systems, and fostering a culture of learning and innovation. She is actively involved in teaching medical students and junior doctors, supervising research projects, and leading quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and promote excellence in regional healthcare.
