Dr Dominic Edwards is an obstetrics and gynaecology Principal House Officer at the Mater Mothers Hospital in South Brisbane. A graduate from St Ignatius College Riverview in 2017, he then completed a Bachelor of Medical Studies and Doctor of Medicine in 2023, and then a Masters in Womens Health Medicine at UNSW in 2025. He is an Associate Lecturer at the University of Queensland and is passionate about access to womens health services. He has worked in Western Uganda (October 2022 and August 2025) and Cambodia (December 2023 and June 2024) under the mentorship of gynaecological fistula surgeons Prof. Goh AO and Prof. Krause AO. In 2025, he was awarded the AMAs Womens Health Award for his commitment to womens health in a domestic and global context. Outside of work, he loves his soccer, having represented Australia in the World Medical Football Championships and the University Games, and is an avid Liverpool supporter.
