Dr Komal Chavan (India)

Dr Komal Niranjan Chavan, MD, DNB, MNAMS, FCPS, DGO, FICOG, Diploma in Reproductive Medicine (UK–SH Germany), is a distinguished Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Medical Director at Chavan Maternity and Nursing Home, Mumbai. She is Vice President, FOGSI (2025), Governing Council Member ICOG, and Managing Council Member, MOGS. With over 20 years of teaching experience, she has served as Assistant Professor at KEM Hospital, Honorary Professor at Cooper Hospital, and DNB Teacher at VN Desai Hospital.
An accomplished academician and national faculty, she has organised/ participated in 500+ physical programs and 1000+ webinars, edited 45 books/ newsletters, and contributed extensively to FOGSI projects, guidelines. She was former Chair of Medical Disorders in Pregnancy Committee of FOGSI from 2019-2022 & received Best committee Award for her exemplary tenure and work done. She is also recipient of numerous prestigious awards & she is actively engaged in women’s health advocacy and social initiatives.
