Dr Hafizur Rahman

Dr Hafizur Rahman is Professor & Head at the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Shree Narayan Medical Institute and Hospital (SNMIH), Saharsa, India. Prior to his current affiliations, he worked as Head of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Kalyani, West Bengal and as Unit-Head and Professor of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences (SMIMS), Gangtok, India. Sikkim Manipal University awarded A++ (A double plus), University’s highest performance award consistently for 11 years. Apart from patients’ care, his another passion is clinical scientific research and he have had more than seventy publications in world class indexed journals and reviewer of more than a dozen international journals. His professional associations include Vice President of Asia-Oceania Societies of Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology (AOSPAG) and ICOG Governing Council member for two consecutive terms (2022-2026).He has featured as invited faculty at various international conferences and national conferences and also involved as an external examiner at various Indian university examinations. He has exceptional academic, organizational and leadership capabilities for which he has won many awards like Shan S. Ratnam Young Gynecologists’ Award (SSR-YGA), FOGSI Future award, Dr Kamini Rao Yuva Orator, Travelling fellowship awards etc.
