Professor Emeritus Sarikapan Wilailak

The Royal Thai College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists

Professor Sarikapan Wilailak is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Chair of the Ramathibodi Cancer Registry at the Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand. She currently serves as President of the Royal Thai College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RTCOG), and is the Past President of the Thai Gynecologic Cancer Society (TGCS).

Internationally, she is the immediate past chair the FIGO Committee for Women’s Cancer, Vice President of the Asian Gynecologic Oncology Group (AGOG), serves in the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Obsterics and Gynecology (IJGO) and member of the Oncology Committee of the Asia Oceania Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecology (AOFOG).

Professor Wilailak earned her medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, and completed both the Thai Board Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Sub-Board Diploma in Gynecologic Oncology in 1995. She pursued further training as a Visiting Fellow in Gynecologic Oncology at Johns Hopkins Hospital (Maryland), Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (New York), and MD Anderson Cancer Center (Texas), USA.

She is an active member of several professional societies, both national and international. In addition to her clinical and academic roles, she is a prolific author of numerous publications and books in the field of gynecologic oncology. She has received several awards in the fields.
