Prof Sabaratnam Arulkumaran (United Kingdom)

Sir Arulkumaran is Professor Emeritus at St.George’s University of London. He was Head of department from 2001 -2013. From 2013 he is Foundation Professor of O&G, University of Nicosia and Visiting professor, Institute of Global Health, Imperial College, London. He was President of the FIGO, BMA and the RCOG. Arulkumaran is author of over 300 indexed publications, 200 book chapters and Editor of 32 books. He received Honorary fellowships from the American, Sri Lankan, South African, Pakistan, Indian, Australian & NZ Colleges of O&G and Hon Doctorate of Science from the Universities of Athens – Greece, Colombo – Sri Lanka, Lund, Sweden, Odessa – Ukraine & St George’s University of London. He is Hon Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, USA. Arulkumaran was appointed Knight Bachelor in recognition of Services to Medicine by her Majesty the Queen and was recipient of Sri Lanka Ranjana National award and Cyprus Active citizen award.
