Dr Sharuna Verghis

Dr. Sharuna Verghis is Senior Lecturer in Public Health at Monash University Malaysia and Co-Founder of Health Equity Initiatives. Her research examines health systems, migration, gender, and community-based models of care through an equity-oriented implementation science lens. She has over 25 years of experience working with refugee and migrant communities across Asia and leads research that informs policy and practice on refugee and migrant health, women’s health, community health workers, and health equity in resource-constrained settings.
