Dr. Chayada is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist accredited by the Thai Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, with subspecialty certification in Maternal–Fetal Medicine since 2014. She completed a research fellowship at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, USA. She currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Division of Maternal–Fetal Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand.
Her research focuses on prenatal carrier screening, prenatal diagnosis, and advanced fetal imaging. In 2020, she pioneered the implementation of prenatal carrier screening for spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) at Ramathibodi Hospital—the first university hospital in Thailand to offer this service—and has actively advocated for the inclusion of SMA carrier screening within Thailand’s universal health coverage system.
