Dr Khin Yu Yu Zin

She is Dr Khin Yu Yu Zin, a Senior Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist working at Dawei General Hospital in the Tanintharyi Region, Myanmar, was born in Bago Township, her journey in medicine began when she passed her Matriculation Exam in 1983 and joined the University of Medicine-1, Yangon. She earned her M.B,B.S in 1993 and completed one-year House Surgeon internship at Mawlamyine General Hospital, Mon State in 1994. Driven by a passion for women’s health, she specialized at the University of Medicine-2, Yangon, earning a Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynecology (1998) and a Master of Medical Science in Obstetrics & Gynecology (2001). In 2002, she was honored to receive the Young Gynecologist Award from AOFOG. Studying modern medical practices, she completed MRCOG Part 1 in 2010 and received a Diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery from India in 2019. She’s married and has a son and a daughter.
