Dr Jane Thorn

Dr Jane Thorn first travelled to North East Arnhem Land in 1984, which resulted in a long-term connection with the people and country of the Northern Territory. For more than 20 years, she has worked as a Generalist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist across the Top End of the Northern Territory and South Australia, maintaining strong and enduring connections with First Nations women and communities.
Her clinical interests include improving local access to culturally safe and appropriate women’s healthcare for First Nations women, advancing equitable access to abortion care, and the management of vulval conditions.
