Dr Darshana Abeygunawardana, MBBS, MD (Obstetrics & Gynaecology), FSLCOG, is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with special interests in menopause, minimally invasive gynaecological surgery, and Urogynaecology. Dr Abeygunawardana has undertaken fellowship training in daycare gynaecological endoscopy in India and cosmetic gynaecology through ISAGSS and ASCOP.
A respected contributor to women’s healthcare in Sri Lanka, Dr Abeygunawardana serves on several national Technical Advisory Committees and as an expert panel member of the NMRA Medical Device Evaluation Committee. Dr Abeygunawardana is President-Elect of the Menopause Society of Sri Lanka and Regional Activities Chair of the Sri Lanka College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
Internationally, Dr Abeygunawardana contributes to specialist committees of SAFOG and AOFOG and is a regular keynote speaker and invited lecturer at national and international scientific forums, with a strong commitment to advancing evidence-based, equitable, and comprehensive women’s healthcare.
