Professor Mei-Jou Chen

Dr. Mei-Jou Chen is the Livia Shangyu Wan Chair Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at National Taiwan University and Director of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at National Taiwan University Hospital. A board-certified reproductive endocrinologist, she is one of the leading experts in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), ART optimization, and female reproductive endocrinology.
Her translational research has advanced understanding of PCOS pathophysiology, ART treatment, and the role of the gut microbiome in hormone regulation.
She is the former president of the Taiwanese Society for Reproductive Medicine and serves on the boards of the TAOG, Asian PCOS Society, ASPIRE’s and AOFOG’s REI Committee.
Her recent honors include the FIGO Women’s Award and Taiwan’s National Innovation Award, recognizing her leadership in reproductive science and women’s health policy.
