Professor Ben (Willem) Mol (MD, PhD (cum laude), MSc (Economics), FRANZCOG) is a clinical academic who combines clinical research with clinical work. His work has changed practice in infertility (lifestyle, tubal flushing, assisted reproduction) and obstetrics (prevention and treatment of preterm birth, pre-eclampsia, induction of labour). Since 2020, Ben has spent considerable time in the detection and whistleblowing of scientific fraud (data-fabrication) in obstetrics and gynaecology, resulting in 500 retracted/EoC papers and increasing awareness of this problem.
