Dr Carmen Brown is a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist with more than 20 years of clinical experience across the United States, New Zealand and Australia. US-trained and board-certified, she is a Fellow of both the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and RANZCOG.
Dr Brown is Clinical Director of Women’s Health at Bass Coast Health in regional Victoria and has spent much of her career delivering women’s healthcare in rural and regional communities. She serves as a RANZCOG Councillor representing Regional and Rural Fellows and on the AMA Federal Council representing Australia’s rural and regional doctors.
Her professional interests include rural and regional women’s health, respectful maternity care, menopause care, medical workforce development and specialist training. She is a strong advocate for sustainable regional services and equitable access to high-quality women’s healthcare, regardless of geography.
