Tania is a gynaecologist and vulval specialist at John Hunter Hospital and Conjoint Associate Professor at University of Newcastle. She trained at Columbia University in New York City and Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, USA.
After emigrating to Australia, she completed a PhD Medicine on vulval lichen planus. She continues to publish on clinicopathologic diagnosis of vulval dermatoses and HPV-associated disease. Recent works include the 2026 ISSVD Terminology for VIN and SIL and the ISSVD Lichen Sclerosus Practical Guide to Diagnosis and Management.
She is the RANZCOG Director of Training and Councillor for NSW, an Associate Editor of the Journal of Lower Genital Tract Disease, an Advisory Board member of AJOG, and a Fellow of the ISSVD.
