As treatment goals evolve beyond symptom control, this session will examine the clinical consequences of iron deficiency and anaemia in women who are pregnant and have a bleeding disorder. Chaired by international haematologist and iron biologist, Prof Vernon Louw, join local haematologist and HOW collaborative member Dr Sara Ng who will present and discuss two case studies which explore iron deficiency in pregnancy and bleeding disorders. Presentations will draw on cases and robustly discuss treatment and management options for patients.
