Dr Alicia Veasey is a Torres Strait Islander woman, a rural Obstetric & Gynaecology Staff Specialist in Northern NSW LHD, and health system leader working across clinical care, governance, policy, workforce, safety and quality, and Indigenous health sovereignty.
As Managing Director and co-founder of Gullidala, an Indigenous-led social enterprise, Alicia provides strategic facilitation to enable and strengthen Indigenous Knowledge Translation in health policy design and development. She is Board Member of the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care, a Board Director of the Australian Indigenous Doctors’ Association, a Global Atlantic Fellow, and a 2025 Churchill Fellow.
Alicia firmly believes in embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leadership, governance, cultural safety and accountability as essential to safe, high-quality health care.
