Dr Ravi Chandran (Malaysia)

Dr Ravi Chandran is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist in active practice at the Gleneagles Medical Center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He is a Fellow of both the RCOG and the RCPI, and completed his subspecialty training in Maternal Fetal Medicine at the King’s College Hospital in London and the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
Dr Chandran is a past President of the Asia Oceania Federation of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists and served as the FIGO Regional Trustee for Asia Oceania from 2021-2023 and FIGO Honorary Secretary from 2023-2025. His passion is governance and leadership development, and in recognition of his work in global women’s health, he has been awarded Honorary Fellowships from India, Taiwan, Japan, RANZCOG and ACOG. He continues to strive for efficiency and excellence in service of women’s reproductive health and rights, and in October 2025, was elected as President Elect of FIGO.
