Dr Lydia Brown is a Clinical Psychologist and Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology at the Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences, University of Melbourne. Her research expertise centres on understanding and enhancing well-being during the menopause transition and beyond, with a particular emphasis on self-compassion as a protective factor. In 2024, Dr Brown served as lead author on a Lancet Series paper on menopause and mental health. She currently sits on the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) Menopause Guideline Development Committee, contributing her psychological expertise to the development of clinical practice guidelines.
